Search for a topic below, or reach us directly — we read every message.
Use "Library" or "Mess" at the top of the home page, or go to /libraries or /messes directly. Search by city or locality, and filter by price. Hostels are coming soon.
Open a library's page and tap "View seats". Pick a floor, tap an available (green) seat, choose a plan and shift, and confirm. Some libraries require the owner to approve your request first — you'll see the booking's status on "My bookings" in your account.
The Own Zone does not take payments from students. You pay the library or mess owner directly, using whatever method they accept. The price shown on the listing is what the owner charges.
Contact details and the map pin are shown only to signed-in students, to keep them out of search engines and off logged-out pages. Sign in, then open the library or mess page again.
At most 3 at a time, and at most 1 active seat per library. This keeps seat counts accurate for owners.
Go to /forgot-password and enter your email. If an account exists, you'll get a reset link by email (it expires in 30 minutes). If a library owner booked a seat for you before you had an account, use this same "Forgot password" page with the email the owner entered — this activates the account they created for you and shows your seat.
If it's a new email, you'll get an email titled "Your seat is booked" with a link to set your password — do that and you'll land straight on your bookings. If you already have an account with that email, just sign in normally; the booking is already there under "My bookings".
Students don't cancel their own bookings in the app — contact the library or mess owner directly (their phone/email is on the listing once you're signed in) and ask them to cancel or adjust it.
No — MFA is not used for student accounts.
Go to "List your space" (or /list-your-library, /list-your-space for a mess/tiffin service). Fill in your details and create an account — you'll land in your owner workspace afterwards.
Step 1 — Pricing: add at least one pricing plan. Step 2 — Floors: add each floor (Ground, First, …). Step 3 — Design seats: open a floor and place seats and walls on the canvas, then click Save draft. You need at least one pricing plan, one floor, one saved seat and one photo before you can submit for approval.
Clicking it shows exactly what's still missing, with a link to fix each one — a pricing plan, a floor, a saved seat, or a photo. Once all four are done and you submit, Super Admin reviews it before it goes live to students.
Once approved, it's published and shows up in search on /libraries or /messes. Use the Share button on your library's public page to get a direct link or a QR code you can print or send.
Go to "Book for student" in your workspace. Choose the library, floor, and tap a green seat on the map. The price box starts at the plan's price — change it if you want to give that student a different price, including free. Enter their Gmail and mobile, and confirm.
Yes, only from the owner side, only on "Book for student". Change the price box before confirming — that exact amount is what gets recorded and charged. Students can never edit prices themselves; they only ever see the plan price you've set.
Go to your library → Floors. "Delete floor" hides it from students but keeps it — you can restore it or permanently delete it later, from the same page.
Select a seat, then tap "+" on any open side to add another seat right next to it. The spacing between them is set in "Seat spacing (+)" in the Tools panel.
Yes — use "Apply to all floors" on the Floors page, or the plot size fields on your library's details. The area grows or shrinks equally on every side, and your existing seats and walls shift with it so nothing moves relative to the walls. If shrinking would push something outside the new area, it tells you what to move first.
On a library's page, the "Danger zone" card lets you delete it (reversible), then permanently delete it once you're sure. To delete your whole account, go to Security in your account and use "Delete account" — this is blocked while any of your libraries have active or confirmed bookings, so a paying student is never silently affected.
It's optional, not required. Turn it on from Security if you want it — once you do, you'll need a code each time you sign in. You can also skip it and enable it later.
"Check-in" marks a student present for the day. "Income & payments" shows payments recorded as received from students for a chosen library and period, plus pending and refunded amounts. It is income before expenses, not profit. You can export the payment records as a CSV.
Student sessions stay signed in for 60 minutes of inactivity; owner and admin sessions for 20 minutes, for security. Either way, you're signed out completely after 12 hours regardless of activity. Using the site resets the idle timer.
No — The Own Zone doesn't process payments at all. You pay the library or mess owner directly, so there's no card or payment data to store.
Go to Security in your account, enter your current password and choose a new one. If you don't remember your current password, use /forgot-password instead.
